One of Rita Lynn Gilman’s collegiate pitchers, Rhyann Jones began receiving training from Rita at age 11.
In the Spring of 2023, Rhyann helped lead her team, University of North Carolina at Greensboro to their 6th straight Regular Season SoCon title, 3rd SoCon Tournament title and a berth to NCAA regionals. She earned 1st Team all conference and All- Freshman Team honors. She was also named SoCon pitcher of the week 1x.
She posted a conference ERA of 1.96 and an overall ERA of 2.54. She threw 5 complete shutouts and had a record of 11-3.
In high school, Rhyann played for Lord Botetourt in Daleville, Virginia. She was a part of back-to-back Region 3D titles her junior and senior year. During her senior year, her team was also Class 3 runner-up. In 2022, Rhyann had a .51 ERA with 16 walks, 204 strikeouts, and her BAA was .161 in 170 innings pitched. Career high of 17 strikeouts in one game. She earned First Team All-State honors in 2022.
