Sophia Peterson began pitching with Jackie Magill at Rita Lynn Gilman’s pitching shop at age 9 and is a senior from Ashland, VA. Sophia continues to work weekly with Jackie and is featured in Rita Lynn’s video on the importance of Stationary Drill Mechanics.
Sophia plays travel ball for the Virginia Glory organization and received multiple offers to pitch in college after her 2024-25 high school senior year. Sophia has committed to play softball for Sweet Briar College in the ODAC.
Sophia has quickly become a popular instructor for younger pitchers and focuses on proper mechanics for speed, spot, and spin.
Her lesson rate is $45.
Sophia is homeschooled (GPA: 4.0) and is captain of the Central Virginia Homeschool Varsity Lady Patriots, a team ranked in the Top 25 across all high schools in Virginia.
