“Julia embraces the pressure and does so with grace. After a successful weekend in her 14u days, she said her favorite part of the weekend was coming into the tied game as relief, with bases loaded and no outs, and working out of the jam. So when she played those tight semi-final and final state games, those pressure-filled final innings were what she enjoys the most.
Her success has not come without challenge and disappointment. But rather than accept when things didn’t go the way she wanted, she always gets back out there and strives to do better.
Julia is one of the kindest and most gentle humans I have ever met. Between the white lines is the only place I see her really fight and be aggressive. She is shy and reserved until she is comfortable. She never talks about how good she is. She lets her playing do that for her.”
